Turmeric Effective in Reducing Heart Disease

We are all looking for the one thing that can make a big difference in our life. Many believe that that one thing is exercise, but it takes time and there are confusing and conflicting guidelines. Others say that the one thing is eating a good diet, but again it takes time and there are confusing and conflicting guidelines. What if you could make a huge difference in your life by taking a pill? No I am not talking about a new drug. I am talking about a food that you can take as a supplement. Turmeric has often been referred to as a fountain of youth, because there are so many benefits.

Turmeric has been shown to be almost as effective in reducing heart disease as exercise. The benefits are mind boggling. Because it is a food it is very hard to get too much, or to pull a muscle in the process. There is evidence that combining turmeric with exercise would be even better. It even reduces blood pressure and the age related degeneration of the heartís left ventricle. Under indulging in exercise causes ageing, but so does over indulging in alcohol. Studies are showing that taking turmeric before and even after indulging in alcohol seems to prevent and even possibly reverse the damage of overconsumption. It also reduces the liver damage caused by over indulging.

The protection of the brain from alcohol brings us to point out that turmeric has also been shown to prevent and even reverse the effects of Alzheimerís disease and other forms of dementia. The studies used one gram of turmeric daily for three months and documented what they called mind blowing improvements in dementia symptoms. This could be due to its function as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory of detoxifier.

Turmeric has been shown to work as well as chemotherapy in some kinds of cancer, without the horrible side effects. It has been found to prevent liver cancer by causing the cancer cells to die. It prevents lung cancer from spreading and activates the body to prevent tumors from forming. One university declared it as a leading anti-cancer metastasis therapy. For those that do seek chemotherapy and/or radiation it can increase their effectiveness as well as reducing the side effects

It has also been found to be a Ďbig guní in the fight against autoimmune conditions. These include IBD, arthritis, psoriasis, MS, lupus, as well as other forms. Other areas where drugs can be reduced or replaced are:
  • Turmeric lowers cholesterol, without the horrible side effects of statin drugs.
  • Inflammation is reduced more with turmeric than with corticosteroid drugs. It can also replace NSAIDS.
  • Turmeric reduces depression even better than drugs.
  • Turmeric is a natural blood thinner.
  • Turmeric works better than Metformin at increasing glucose uptake in diabetics.
  • Turmeric reduces/prevents neurological damage from vaccinations.
  • Turmeric aids digestion and heals the digestive tract.
  • Turmeric reduces depression even better than drugs. Many of the drugs similar to Prozac can cause suicidal thoughts or psychotic breaks that end in violence.
  • It has been found useful for menopause symptoms.
  • It supports gallbladder function.

Turmeric prevents the damaging effects of sunlight. These include wrinkles from loss of elasticity that make those pesky wrinkles show up. Used topically it seems to reverse effects as well. As a detoxifier it may also help prevent skin cancer and protect our skin from radiation exposure.

Isnít it wonderful that a food that can also be put in a capsule can have such wonderful effects on the body?
