Canker Sores

For most of us the small mouth lesions are little more than an occasional nuisance, but for some people they can be a constant irritation. Experts disagree as to the cause of mouth sores. Some possibilities include dietary triggers such as chocolate, nuts, tomatoes, green peppers, strawberries and citrus fruits. Others say vitamin deficiencies are to be blamed, especially vitamin B12. Maybe that is why I haven't gotten any since I have started taking the Enriching Gifts Complete Vitamins Plus. They include a good amount of vitamin B12. Food allergies or sensitivities are also thought to be contributing factors. In my personal life I have found that eating sharp foods like chips, or biting the side of my mouth would trigger a canker sore.
Some people recommend deglycrrhizinated licorice, or DGL for getting rid of canker sores. Michael Truab, N.D., a naturopathic doctor and director of the integrated residency program at North Hawaii Community Hospital In Kamuela says that DGL has an anti-inflammatory property that speeds the healing process and soothes the discomfort of canker sores. It comes in lozenges and capsules. Another capsule that has anti-inflammatory properties is Enriching Gifts Aloe Ace Max. Aloe is extremely soothing to inflammation and two capsules of Enriching Gifts Aloe Ace Max is like drinking a gallon of a good quality aloe juice.
When I used to get canker sores I would swish my mouth a couple of times a day with mouthwash. That seemed to kill the germs that were keeping the sore inflamed. Now if I got one I would quickly reach for my Enriching Gifts Lightning Colloidal Silver. A few drops mixed with a small amount of warm water makes a great mouthwash. It kills all the bacteria floating around in your mouth. For me a couple of days of not adding to the infection is all it takes to begin the healing process.
