Colonoscopy can dangerous to your health!

We have all heard the horror stories of the pain and discomfort of a colonoscopy. We have even heard of the rare event of something going terribly wrong and the instruments piercing the bowel. What we haven't heard until now is that even preparing for the procedure may be harmful to you. The food and Drug Administration has determined that the drugs used to clean the bowels so the camera can see the sides of the bowel can cause kidney damage. They are taking the strongest action they can, short of completely banning the use of them. They are adding 'black box' warning labels to the packaging. Did your doctor tell you they are planning to use dangerous drugs when they do this 'recommended' procedure?
The problem is with Oral sodium phosphate. It is found in all the colonoscopy preparations as well as some over-the counter drugs that are taken as laxatives. They are taken in extremely high dosages in preparation for a colonoscopy. There are no 'black box warnings' for over-the-counter preparations. This chemical causes problems by acting the way it was designed to, making your bowel movements frequent, loose and runny. The problem comes in the amount of fluids it removes from your body in the process. This can lead to severe kidney damage or even failure. The patient may end up needing long-term dialysis.
As usual, those that are older or have other medical issues are the most at risk. But in this case the term 'older' is defined as 55. How many 55 year olds would consider themselves old enough to be a health risk? Isn't that the age group that they are recommending have frequent colonoscopies? So what's a person to do?
There is a new test that looks at the stool DNA, ask your doctor about that before blindly agreeing to a colonoscopy. Drinking plenty of fluids is always recommended, but especially so if you are preparing for a colonoscopy. For the occasional irregularity there is Daily Detoxification by Enriching Gifts. This is a unique product that gently uses plant products rather than chemicals to encourage your bowels to empty. It doesn't cause dehydration. It does pull toxins from within your digestive system, blood system, and even down to your cellular level.
